1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CliBook, a desktop application and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Corevixa ("we", "us", or "our").

By downloading or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CliBook is a command-line snippet manager that allows you to store, organize, search, and quickly access CLI commands. The Service includes:

• A desktop application for macOS
• Command palette for quick command search and execution
• Local-first storage — your commands are stored on your device
• AI-powered command generation, explanation, and optimization
• Command Packs — built-in official packs, plus file-based export and import for sharing command collections
• AI-powered features that use your own API key (bring-your-own-key, or "BYOK") for a supported provider — Anthropic or OpenAI

3. No Account Required

CliBook does not require registration or an account. You do not sign up, sign in, or provide us with any credentials to use the Service. Your data is stored locally on your device and remains under your control.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Store or distribute malicious code, malware, or commands intended to cause harm
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application beyond what is permitted by law
• Use automated means to access the Service in a way that exceeds reasonable use

5. User Content

5.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you create and store using the Service, including commands, snippets, folders, and tags ("User Content"). We do not claim ownership over your User Content.

5.2 Local Storage

Your User Content is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. We do not require any license to your User Content in order to provide the Service.

5.3 Shared Content

When you export Command Pack files and share them with others, you grant the recipients a non-exclusive license to use, copy, and modify the shared commands for their own purposes. You are responsible for ensuring that content you share does not violate any third-party rights.

6. AI Features and API Keys (BYOK)

6.1 Free Service

CliBook is free to use. We do not offer a paid subscription, and we do not process payments of any kind.

6.2 Bring Your Own Key

AI-powered features (command generation, explanation, and optimization) require you to provide your own API key from a supported third-party AI provider — currently Anthropic or OpenAI. You are solely responsible for obtaining, maintaining, and securing a valid API key.

6.3 Your Responsibility for Costs

Your use of AI features is billed directly by your chosen AI provider according to their own pricing and terms. CliBook does not charge for AI usage, does not add any markup to provider costs, and is not a party to your agreement with the AI provider.

6.4 Third-Party Provider Terms

Your use of AI features is also subject to the applicable terms of service and acceptable use policies of your chosen AI provider. We do not control and are not responsible for the availability, performance, pricing changes, or content generated by third-party AI providers.

7. AI Features

The Service includes AI-powered features for command generation, explanation, and optimization. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may not always be accurate or suitable for your use case
• You are solely responsible for reviewing and validating any AI-generated commands before execution
• We are not liable for any damage caused by executing AI-generated commands
• AI features require your own API key from a supported provider (Anthropic or OpenAI) and are subject to that provider's usage limits, availability, and pricing

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by Corevixa and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Corevixa, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

12. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after the revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the Taiwan Taipei District Court as the court of first instance.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
